This is one of my favourite places to visit in the Canadian Rockies, Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park, it takes a bit effort to get there, one has to book a seat on a bus or walk in, I believe a 26 km journey. I made this image with my Tachihara view camera and a 120 mm lens, I don't remember the f-stop or shutter speed, it was shot on T-Max 100. This was my first visit to the lake around September of 1988 and there was a fresh snow fall, creating a magical scene. Writers who have responded to previous my posts have commented on how lucky I am to be able to photograph in such an beautiful environment and it is true, I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to make photographs in Western Canada here, which is the inspiration behind my passion to make pictures.

Lake O'Hara, Yoho National Park

I like it! You must have had a polarizer on the lens to get the detail in the water at the front.
Nope I did'nt use a polarizer on the lens, I believe the surrounding trees created a nice mask to reveal detail in the water.
Probably, most likely, the water is quite shallow there anyway, so that one can see those things in the water.
I'm always a sucker for such an image! :o}
