Majesty Of Skaha Bluffs

Another favourite area that I like to photograph is Skaha Bluffs, near Penticton B.C. The bluffs is a popular rock climbing area for people who love to scramble up the coarse-grained gneiss walls up to 80 meters tall. Though the climbers are well above me I prefer though to stay at the bottom on the canyon trails with my 4 x 5 view camera and try and capture the majesty of the rock walls. The canyon walls and the color of the rock translates well into black and white, its especially nice in the late summer and early fall with late afternoon light. This is a image that I took as usual with my 4 x 5 view camera and the 120 mm lens.
