Cowichan Bay Shipyard, Vancouver Island. Grant Blundell at work using a metal lathe.
This image concludes my series from the Cowichan Bay Shipyard that I made on October, 2013. I visited the shipyard on the 15th of that month and shot 34 sheets of 4 x 5 film, ( Ilford HP 5 ) using my Ebony 4 x 5 view camera, almost all images were made with my 120mm Schneider lens. I had really beautiful light ( sunny ) which really brightened the interior of the buildings and two lovely old boats to photograph. Next up will be a fairly lengthly series from Sooke Marine Industries, another great find on my trip to the Island last year.
