Self-taught, expressionist artist, David Benjamin, is from Chicago's north side. Many of the building designs in some of his pieces were inspired by the city's ever changing skyline. David credits his artistic ability to his parents, both artistically inclined, and reports being most inspired by the painting, 'Daybreak' by Maxfield Parrish, Oil on canvas (1922).
