I was photographing at China Beach a couple of weeks ago which is part of the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park and as the tide was receding I observed this piece of old kelp stuck in the sand , the sun was at a low angle and that made for interesting shadow shape, I was just having fun with the 4 x 5 view camera on a nice late fall day and discovering the little things.

Thanks for your kind comments on my ICE; though I suspect you have tons more ice up there near your parts right now (!)
