The Tangled Tree

I have photographed this large old Ponderosa Pine a number of times in the past while hiking above the hills of Peachland, B.C. the old tree was long dead but was still standing, it made for an interesting subject with it's twisted old tree limbs naked against the sky, recently during a hike I found the old tree had come crashing down, what a sound that would have made!, at any rate the tree is still providing photographic inspiration to me even in it's prone state.

How sad, and yet, in the scheme of things, this old tree will provide noursihment for other plants once it breaks down as nature intends.
