I was photographing in the Stanley Glacier area of Kootenay National Park this past fall when there was sudden downpour of rain that swept in rather quickly, since my 4 x 5 view camera was all set up on the tripod I figured I may as well make the best of the situation and see what I could photograph.

The Passing Storm
Here is a view of the Stanley Glacier area in Kootenay National Park, I had been hiking in the area with friends this past September, and a storm moved in, on the way back down the trail I turned to look at the incredible beauty behind me and saw this scene unfolding with the clouds lifting and drifting away, I quickly set up my 4 x 5 view camera as fast as I could and made this image with my 270mm lens.

Gone Fishing
Sometimes its time to kick back and take the old boat out and head out on the water and cast one's line to see what one can catch. Here is a pretty good "catch" that I made of an old boat shed at New Denver looking out to a tranquil Slocan Lake on a late September day earlier this year. This image was made with my 4 x 5 view camera and 120 mm lens.
