Recent Travels

I have been on a two week road trip to Vancouver Island this past October. my travels took me to the Victoria area where I have family and then on to Pacific Rim National Park where I photographed Long Beach and South Beach, this area of planet earth is one of my favourite places to be, with the the rolling surf pounding long stretches of sandy beaches. My next leg of my journey took me to Galiano Island, I was last there about seven years ago so it was like visiting an old friend, it was quiet and peaceful place to be. The weather during my trop was a bit rainy at times, but this worked to my favour as the sun would periodically break through the clouds as seen in the photograph posted taken at Long Beach that I made with my 8 x 10 view camera. All in all I shot 196 sheets of 4 x 5 film, 22 sheets of 8 x 10 film and 6 rolls of 120 film which I had been processing this past week since I got back, I just finished developing the last couple of sheets and the roll film earlier today, now comes the task of scanning and enhancing some very exciting images.

Brings back some wonderful memories from the early 1990s, when I lived on Whidbey Island. I took a few trips to Vancouver Island near where this shot was taken, and was just as taken by the beauty of that area as you seem to be. Thanks for a wonderful shot, and for evoking some nice memories.
