I made this image of various shaped rocks at Mermaid Cove on British Columbia's Sunshine coast during a road trip through the area this past June. The area is popular for under water divering and also offers some pretty incredibly beautiful scenery above the water too. I waited for the tide to go out and made the image with my 4 x 5 view camera as the sun set on a gloriously wonderful day with fine sunny skies, in which the appropriately named Sunshine Coast lived up to.

Rocks at Mermaid Cove

Great attention to detail! The use of black and white really adds to the contrast and definition of the photos.
