Download my Pictures

After reading the latest column by Brooks Jensen, editor of LensWork, called, "Levels of Involvement", I thought I would take one of Brook's suggestions and try sharing my work via a PDF download, it takes a few minutes to download, there are 54 landscape images ( 17 MB in size ) I hope that those who download it will find it worth while. The above posted picture is from China Beach, part of the Juan de Fuca Marien trial on vancouver Island which starts just north of Jordan River.\I have had this idea making up a PDF of my work for a while and thought I would give it a try after reading Brook's article, I made my PDF via Photoshop CS3. Lenswork by the way is a great little magazine, excellent photography and articles and although its published in the USA its printed in Canada. The link for my PDF is "HERE"

PS: The PDF's can be viewed on any iPad, iPod, or iPhone via iBooks ( with latest ios4 software )

The Old Gate

I found this old gate to photograph along a road on South Pender Island, one of the southern Gulf Islands near Vancouver Island during a recent trip I made there this past June. I was a great place to explore with many good photo opportunities, I made the picture with my Ebony 4 x 5 view camera and a 120mm lens and Tri-X black and white film.

Please Call Again

I found this old "Welcome to…." highway sign while hiking in the hills above Skaha Lake near Penticton B.C. recently, I'm not sure what town or city it was for but it made for what I thought was an interesting photograph.

Joffre Lakes Provincial Park

Here is an image I made a last Monday at lower Joffre Lake about 30 kilometres outside of Pemberton, B.C., I was set up in the last hours of light, could have done a better job as the better images were all out of focus, oh well such is life, I will have to pay more attention the next time I go out and photograph !
