I was photographing at China Beach a couple of weeks ago which is part of the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park and as the tide was receding I observed this piece of old kelp stuck in the sand , the sun was at a low angle and that made for interesting shadow shape, I was just having fun with the 4 x 5 view camera on a nice late fall day and discovering the little things.

Winter Scenery
With winter just around the corner and Christmas too, this image is from Silver Star ski area near Vernon, B.C., I made the picture in February of 2008. Image was made with a 4 x 5 view camera and a 120mm lens.
